The application of Universal Design (UD) thinking to Early Learning and Care (ELC) settings recognises the diversity of ages, abilities, needs and preferences that these environments must accommodate.

3. Key Internal and External Spaces

Universally Designed Early Learning and Care settings should provide internal and external spaces that support the needs of all users and provide an optimum environment for all children’s learning and care.
